Zoom, IL…State Representative Deanne Mazzochi (R-Westmont) invites residents to a virtual town hall on Monday, January 10th at 6pm.
Due to a later than usual primary election date, the legislative spring session will both begin and end earlier than in years past. The Illinois General Assembly reconvenes on Tuesday, January 4th and adjourns on April 8th.
“I’m hosting this town hall to give a preview on what is sure to be a quick, but jam-packed, spring legislative session,” Rep. Mazzochi said. She is encouraging residents to attend to get an update on legislation she intends to fight for this spring and to voice their opinion on legislative issues they want to see addressed. “Now more than ever people feel disconnected from their representatives. I’ve always gone to Springfield for the purpose of doing what is best for the people I represent and to voice their concerns with how Illinois should work for them and not just the politically connected.”
Residents can join the virtual town hall by clicking on the zoom link here or watch via Facebook live at her page, Facebook.com/RepDeanneMazzochi. Rep. Mazzochi finished by saying, “Hear from me and join the discussion from the comfort of your own home!”
Interested participants are asked to submit their questions ahead of time via email at email@example.com . Residents with questions or concerns can reach out to Rep. Mazzochi’s legislative office at (630) 852-8633.
